An Origin Story

The world deserves a better way to LookAround it

How a comment thread, a failed project, and a three-hour conversation became a company — built by four people who refused to accept the world as something you only glimpse on a screen.

The Premise

The idea hiding in plain sight

The world is full of rooms we never enter. Doorways we pass. Spaces we glimpse on a screen and walk away from — unsure, unconvinced, unmoved. Most people accept this quietly. A few refuse to.

GoLookAround was born from that refusal — from a stubborn conviction that anyone, anywhere, should be able to step inside a place before they ever set foot in it. To wander a property at midnight. To turn a corner that hasn't been built yet. To look around the world without the world holding them back.

Equals. Opposites. The improbable pair who turned a dead comment thread and a failed project into a company.

The Architect Behind the Curtain

Aashish Reddy

Computer Science Engineering · 2022–2026 · Self-made polymath

On paper, you'd underestimate him — failed boards, ditched classrooms, dyslexia that made the conventional path feel like a maze built to defeat him. So he stopped walking it and started cutting his own.

A YouTube channel. Meme marketing before brands knew it was a discipline. A social media agency. Crypto. Affiliate marketing. He learned by doing, failing, and doing again — the quiet engine no one sees but everyone depends on.

It was Aashish who sketched the logo and coined the original name, LookAround. The visual identity, the systems, the architecture of the thing all trace back to a young man who was told he wasn't built for this, and decided to build it anyway.

The Face and the Heart

Likhith Reddy

Artificial Intelligence & Computer Science · Operations & Growth

He did what most people only romanticize: he walked away from certainty. Three job offers, each worth 13 LPA, sat on the table. He turned down all three to bet on an idea, a partner, and a company that didn't yet exist.

He is the face of GoLookAround — and fittingly, the word LOOK is precisely what he does. Where Aashish is the architecture, Likhith is the voice: the warmth, the hustle, the relentless human energy that turns a quiet idea into a conversation a stranger will answer.

The Beginning

A comment, three lost years, and ten audacious days

The Comment

Two engineers cross paths

It began in a comment section, beneath a post by @nomadicadii, where two young engineers buried in their own side projects happened to meet.

Three Years

Then, silence

It should have been the start of something. Instead it was the start of three years of drift, as people do.

The Failed Project

A project that went nowhere

Aashish landed a client requirement he couldn't fulfill alone and outsourced it — to Likhith. The work stalled and never shipped. But in its wreckage, two people recognized a complementary brilliance. The project died; the partnership didn't.

The Sprint

Three hours, one evening

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — a single meeting — they hammered out who they were. By that same evening, Aashish had designed the logo and coined the name: LookAround. Conceived before lunch, christened before dinner.

Ten Days

A deadline of pure audacity

They set themselves a challenge: win a real client for a virtual-tour business in ten days. They did it. Their first client was spacez.co — who dropped out a couple of days later. They read it as a Tuesday.

The Cold Outreach

A stranger sliding into inboxes

Likhith worked the unglamorous way — cold-messaging Airbnb hosts one by one, across multiple accounts. No network, no warm intros. Just persistence. Someone finally said yes. His name was Mr. VSC Raj.

The Turn

The moment it truly began

Raj didn't reply with a brush-off — he replied with an invitation. They stood before him with a half-formed idea and undeniable hunger, and he saw guts. That was the moment the journey began.

The Mentors

The guides standing just behind them

Where one opens doors and points the way, the other teaches the team how to walk through them and keep walking.

The Guide Who Saw It First

VSC Raj

IIM Calcutta alumnus · First believer

He didn't answer a cold message with a polite no — he answered with “come down to the property, let's talk.” He'd seen a thousand polished pitches; what he saw here was guts. And he renamed the dream: LookAround became GoLookAround. “Look around” is an observation. “Go, look around” is an invitation, a command, a movement. He gave the company its forward motion.

The Vision

LookAround the world before you step into it

The idea was always simple. The company that grew around it is anything but — a story of refusal and resilience, of people who were told they didn't fit, and the mentors who recognized something worth betting on.
